Shabbat in Hebron (Engl. + German)

Every year when we read the Torah parasha Chaye Sarah, traditional celebrations take place in Hebron. There, the Cave of Machpelah is located. It is the burial place of four couples:
1. Eve and Adam
2. Sarah and Avraham
3. Rivka (Rebekka) and Itzchak
4. Lea and Yaakov.

This coming Shabbat (18 November - 27 Mar Cheshwan), thousands of people are going to Hebron, where the Cave of Machpelah will be open for this occasion. The largest hall, the Olam Itzchak, will be open as well.

Alljaehrlich wenn wir die Thora Parasha Chaye Sarah lesen, werden traditionelle Feiern in Hebron abgehalten. In Hebron befindet sich die sogenannte Hoehle der Machpela (hoffentlich habe ich das auf Dt. richtig uebersetzt), in welcher vier Ehepaare bestattet sind:

1. Eva und Adam
2. Sarah und Avraham
3. Rivka (Rebekka) und Itzchak
4. Lea und Yaakov.

An diesem kommenden Shabbat (18. November - 27 Mar Cheshwan) werden Tausende Menschen in Hebron sein, wo die Hoehle der Machpelah geoeffnet sein wird. Die groesste Halle, Olam Itzchak, wird ebenso offen sein.
